 Why MBBS Abroad for Indian Students?

  •   11th September, 2021

Studying MBBS is a dream for most of the students in India. From childhood, parents, teachers, and influential people in Indian society recommend studying either engineering or medicine. If there are two children in a household, the chances are one will be an engineer and the other will be a doctor. This is the dream of most Indian parents. Although engineering seats have increased drastically over the years, this is not the case with MBBS.

Let’s look at a couple of stats to understand this further:

• 541 Medical Colleges in India
• Govt. Medical College seats available in India-278
• Govt. Medical College offers a total seat of – 42729
• Private Colleges through NEET a total seat of (No: of colleges-263) – 38840
• Total Seats in Both Colleges(278+263=541) ¬– 81569
• While using NEET Scores, MBBS-82075, BDS-26949, Ayurveda, Homeo etc-53100
• 278 Govt. Medical Colleges
• 263 Private Medical Colleges
• 16 Lakh Aspirants for 2021 NEET
• Most of the private institutes have a capitation fee ranging from 15 to 20 lakhs with a yearly fee of 4 to 7 lakhs. For any middle-class family, even if the student secures a seat through entrance tests, MBBS still remains a forbidden fruit due to the astronomical fee structure of the private institutes.

But, all hope is not lost.

Aspiring doctors can now study MBBS abroad to make their dreams come true, that too at a very reasonable fee structure. Students and parents tend to have their doubts or be apprehensive about MBBS admission abroad. But, the world has become a global village now. Studying MBBS abroad has become more easy and comfortable than ever before.
